The Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) has selected Arrangers Destination Management Company as one of three finalists in the category of Best Transportation Logistics. The ADME Achievement Awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas at the association’s annual meeting.
Arrangers submitted their award entry for a transportation program that took place August 2008 in Denver, Colorado. The award category, Best Transportation Logistics, is based on the program’s objectives, challenges and parameters presented in planning the program and how those noteworthy challenges were overcome during execution. Here is a 100-word summary of the transportation program:
Our client came to us with a typical request for airport transportation for 382 guests in town for a meeting. These transfers spanned seven days with the heaviest day boasting 327 individuals arriving over a 16-hour period. This program became far less typical when our client also requested that each guest (all 327 of them) have their own individual vehicle transfer with the exception of a van or suv for those guests on the same flight, which was very minimal.
Utilizing 30 sedans and running a continuous 53-mile loop between the airport and hotel, we successfully accommodated every request.
