For her contribution and dedication to the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) in 2007, Nicole Marsh was named the recipient of the Joanne O’Connor President’s Award given to her by current President, Ilene Reinhart at ADME’s annual conference held February 2008.
The award is named in memory of the first President of ADME and one of its founding members, Joanne O’Conner. Joanne’s passion about the industry and about ADME was unparalleled and the award was established in her honor to be bestowed on an individual who provided assistance to the ADME President during their term and demonstrates the same enthusiasm for the hospitality industry.
President, Ilene Reinhart stated, “Perhaps the best thing I can say is that ADME will have the benefit of her continued involvement in the coming year as President-elect and then President of ADME. What I admire most about this person is that no matter what is asked of this person, the response is yes, without hesitation, and the job is done with a drive to always do the best work possible. I marvel at all that she does… There was no other possible or more deserving person than Nicole.”
Nicole has been actively involved in ADME since 2005, serving as a National Board Member and Director of Education. She is the past Vice President of Finance (2006-2008), current Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) Chair (2007-2008), and is also the President Elect of ADME, taking over the reigns in 2009.
